Fun Fall Farm Activities

Last week we went to the farm to do their fall activities. Once again we found a great deal online. We only paid $3.50 a person to do the tractor ride, hay maze, corn maze, and to pick our own pumpkins. The kids had so much fun running around the mazes. It was a very fun activity.

Haunted Boat Ride

About a month ago on Groupon they had a deal for the Haunted Boat ride on the Provo River. My whole family got tickets and we went last Wednesday. The drive down was a nightmare but the actual even was pretty fun. Kind of cheesy, but worth it for the deal we got.

Our little family waiting for our ride on the boat.

The whole group except Hilary, who was taking the picture.

We are Homeowners!

For the last 4 months we have been working on getting into our first home. We finally closed today! My wonderful uncle Michael and aunt Kate gave us an amazing opportunity to be able to get into our first home. When we first looked at the house we werent sure we could handle all of the work, but after lots of fasting and prayer we decided this opportunity was too amazing to pass up. The house was a foreclosure and the previous owner was a self proclaimed "handyman". The whole house was one big unfinished project. After lots of painting, drywalling, new carpet, new cabinets, new siding, new windows, all new appliances, and a lot more we are finally able to call it ours. Here are some before and after pictures.

The front of our house. We got new siding, new windows, a new door, and new drip edge. We will still be taking out that rosebush and probably the other two bushes and will be putting on shutters.
Here is the back of the house. Again we did new siding, new windows, and a new balcony off Logan's room. Plus a lot of weeding was done.

The backyard was ridiculous! The grass was probably 3 feet high and the weeds were crazy. It is finally looking like a yard now, but we have so much more to do.

My mom heard about a contest on Good Things Utah where you send a picture of your old shed and you could possible win a new one. Well we won! How could we not with that shed!

The kitchen had ok cabinets but they werent done. We got all new cabinets, a new window, and all new appliances. We also painted pretty much every room in the entire house.

This is Logan's room. It had pink walls and pink carpet. We painted the walls and got new carpet. We also put in new curtains and will be making the closet a lot better too.

In our room we just painted and got new blinds.

In the family room we painted and got new carpet. We will finish the fireplace and put in crown molding eventually. For now this is Logan's toy room.

This room was so creepy. The wood panelling had to go. We ripped it off and drywalled that entire room and put in new carpet. It turned out great!

We still have a lot to do on the house, but we are so happy to finally be moved in and homeowners. We are so grateful to all of our family who helped so much! And so grateful to Mike and Kate who are so generous. Thank you so much!

New Favorite Way to Watch T.V.

Logan spent A LOT of nights with Grandma and Grandpa J. this summer for reasons I will expand on next week. Luckily Grandpa loves to watch movies with Logan and many nights David and I would pick Logan up and this is the picture we saw. He climbs up himself and sits there while they watch movies. Favorite movies of the summer were, Fox and the Hound (Grandpa was so great and watched this movie over and over even though he doesn't like it), 101 Dalmations, Toy Story, and Aladdin. Thank you so much mom and dad for letting Logan spend so many nights with you. It was such a huge help!

GIRL!! I was very surprised when that is what the ultrasound tech said. I was positive it was a boy until about 3 weeks ago when I started thinking it might be a girl. We are very excited to start shopping for dresses and bows and everything girly!

Days 5-9 of CALIFORNIA!!

Highlights of the second half of our trip:

-Watching Logan and Lincoln at the Pirate Adventure dinner.
-Getting a killer deal on our Park Hopper tickets because of our give a day get a day tickets and because we earned Disney rewards with our debit card. We saved $210.00 on two, two day park hoppers.
-Day two of Disneyland. It was so great watching Logan on all the Fantasy Land rides.
-Watching Logan with all the characters. He loved them. Unfortunately we didn't see many and I don't have pictures of all of them with my camera.
-Day three of Disneyland. I got sick on day two so I couldn't go for all of day three, but I did make it for one of my favorite things at Disneyland. FANTASMIC!
-Logan being a champ on the ride home.
-Interesting times with the extended family at Sam's town in Las Vegas.

We got to go on this amazing trip because my wonderful grandparents got a beach house for a week for us for our Christmas present last year. They are so generous and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation with the whole extended family. Thank you so much grandma and grandpa for all you do for us! Also, thank you so much Mike and Kate for being so generous and buying World of color dinners for everyone. I seriously have the best family!

Family picture by the pirate at the Pirate Adventure dinner. It is supposed to be like Midieval Times, but was a lot more cheesy and the food was very mediocre. But Logan loved it.

David and I at the pirate dinner.

Logan playing with his pirate sword.

The boys(minus my dad) with our lame-o pirate. Each group got assigned a color and pirate. Ours was so lame!

Waiting in line for Peter Pan. We hit it up early so we didn't have to wait in line for an hour.

On Dumbo. Logan loved this ride.

Mandatory picture on one of the CALIFORNIA letters.

Our family with Mickey. Yes I know I am only 13 weeks pregnant here and look bigger. Its because I am measuring 4 weeks bigger.

Logan was absolutely in awe of all the characters.

The boys with Sulley. He was the only character Logan was scared of.
Daddy, Logan, and Woody.
Daddy, Logan and Woody again.

Logan ready to go on Toy Story Mania. What a fun ride!

And of course the mandatory family picture at the entrance to Disneyland. I was still not feeling great here, but had to get to Disneyland one more time to see FANTASMIC!
