A Weekend of Firsts

First off I need to write about my little brother. He got home from his mission a week and a half ago and it is so good to have him back. We missed him so much. At the airport was his first time meeting Logan and Logan loves him so much already. We are so glad grateful for the blessings we received on his mission and are so glad to have him back home with us!

Logan had such a busy weekend. My parents planned on taking Logan and Layne camping this weekend but things came up and they ended up not being able to go. They decided to take them to the Bees game instead. My brothers friend Ashley is a Honey Bee for the bees so she got them tickets. Logan's first baseball game. They said he had so much fun. Both boys liked to run up and down the stairs, and Logan tried to escape a few times. They both got to pick a treat at the game. Layne picked cotton candy and Logan picked popcorn. They were both such good sharers. I am so grateful to my parents for taking Logan. They not only took him to the baseball game but they let him sleepover too, so that David and I could have the night to ourselves and sleep in. It was wonderful! Thank you very much mom and dad!

The boys in the car on the way to the game. Logan is so silly around Layne!

My dad and the boys at the game. It rained and this pretty rainbow came. Layne said "Wow Brama (what he calls my mom)a real rainbow. I have never seen a real rainbow before." Cute boy.

The Bees Bee.

Today Logan went to nursery for the first time! Woohoo! We could hardly wait for this day to come. He is a very curious and rambunctious little boy and I don't think we have listened to a Sunday School lesson in two months. He did so awesome. He went right in and didn't even cry. When we went to pick him up his nursery leader said, "He was so good! Does he go to day care?" I was happy to say that he is just a very good little boy. Not that good kids can't cry, but I was sure proud of Logan for not crying. Hopefully it stays that way!

Logan in his church clothes just before leaving for church. I had to document his first time going to nursery.

His last first of the weekend was his first haircut! I know his first haircut at 18 months. Most kids have probably had quite a few by now. His hair is very thin though and there is not much of it. He had a lot in the back that was curly half the time and scraggly half the time. So we decided 18 months was a good time for him to get his first haircut. He did not enjoy it. He kept squirming and we had to keep giving him candy. Thank you so much mom for cutting it. He looks so cute! He is turning into a little boy and not my baby anymore. It makes me kind of sad. I even got a little teary eyed as my wonderful mother cut his hair. I can't wait for more firsts with our little guy!!

The before picture. It is definitely not a good before picture. David had already gotten his hair wet and Logan was not cooperating.

The after picture. I know it doesn't look much different than the before but it is!!

Wow Logan is growing up so much. I seriously am looking forward to the day we can take Gavin to nursery. We fight with him every sunday and don't get much out of church. We definately need to get together soon. Me and Gav have a little cold but when we get better we will have to do a play date.
