Days 5-9 of CALIFORNIA!!

Highlights of the second half of our trip:

-Watching Logan and Lincoln at the Pirate Adventure dinner.
-Getting a killer deal on our Park Hopper tickets because of our give a day get a day tickets and because we earned Disney rewards with our debit card. We saved $210.00 on two, two day park hoppers.
-Day two of Disneyland. It was so great watching Logan on all the Fantasy Land rides.
-Watching Logan with all the characters. He loved them. Unfortunately we didn't see many and I don't have pictures of all of them with my camera.
-Day three of Disneyland. I got sick on day two so I couldn't go for all of day three, but I did make it for one of my favorite things at Disneyland. FANTASMIC!
-Logan being a champ on the ride home.
-Interesting times with the extended family at Sam's town in Las Vegas.

We got to go on this amazing trip because my wonderful grandparents got a beach house for a week for us for our Christmas present last year. They are so generous and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation with the whole extended family. Thank you so much grandma and grandpa for all you do for us! Also, thank you so much Mike and Kate for being so generous and buying World of color dinners for everyone. I seriously have the best family!

Family picture by the pirate at the Pirate Adventure dinner. It is supposed to be like Midieval Times, but was a lot more cheesy and the food was very mediocre. But Logan loved it.

David and I at the pirate dinner.

Logan and Grandma and Grandpa at the pirate dinner.

Logan playing with his pirate sword.

The boys(minus my dad) with our lame-o pirate. Each group got assigned a color and pirate. Ours was so lame!

Waiting in line for Peter Pan. We hit it up early so we didn't have to wait in line for an hour.

On Dumbo. Logan loved this ride.

Mandatory picture on one of the CALIFORNIA letters.

Our family with Mickey. Yes I know I am only 13 weeks pregnant here and look bigger. Its because I am measuring 4 weeks bigger.

Logan was absolutely in awe of all the characters.

The boys with Sulley. He was the only character Logan was scared of.
Daddy, Logan, and Woody.
Daddy, Logan and Woody again.

Logan ready to go on Toy Story Mania. What a fun ride!

And of course the mandatory family picture at the entrance to Disneyland. I was still not feeling great here, but had to get to Disneyland one more time to see FANTASMIC!

CALIFORNIA!!! Days 1-4

We had such a wonderful time in California! I have way too many pictures to pick just a few so this will be a few posts. Highlights from days 1-4

-Swimming and relaxing in St. George.-Logan being a rockstar traveler pretty much the whole trip!
-The BEACH!
-Club 33 (an exclusive club at Disneyland. You can only eat there if you know someone with a memebership.)
-Watching Logan be so excited about everything Disney.
-World of Color.

Logan on the drive to California. He was seriously the BEST!

Logan and David on Newport Beach.

Logan loved the sand, hated the water!

Waiting for Pirates of the Carribean. Logan had been looking forward to this ride for months!

Club 33 sign. So fun to go here.

Our fancy table.

My food. Chicken with truffled macaroni and cheese. I was not a fan. Too bad too since its a 5 star restaurant.
David got the salmon and really liked it, but wished he had gotten the filet minon.
The desserts looked absolutely wonderful, unfortunately they looked better than they tasted.
This is the toilet. So odd!

A view from the balcony of club 33.
David and Logan watching World of Color. Logan loved it and everytime he sees fountains now screams, "Mommy its World of Color!"

Independence Day

I know I am way late on this, but I really just don't have time to blog lately. Like everyone else our Independence day weekend started on Saturday. We had a lot of fun going to the Sandy Fair. Logan loved the rides and petting the snake. Later that night we went to a bbq and swimming and had so much fun watching family jump over and slide over fireworks in the water. On Sunday we had the annual sleepover/bbq at my grandparents house. I only took picutures of the fair, but the rest of our weekend was just as fun.

Logan petting the snake at the Aquarium booth.

He loved this slide. He went up and down over and over at least 15 times.

Sliding down the slide.
In a sports bounce house. He was a little nervous at first, but warmed up quickly.

Butterfly Release

I know, I know I have been a terrible blogger. I cannot believe how busy our summer has been. Pretty much the only time we are ever home is to sleep. Its been crazy. And now my family has been bugging me about not blogging so what I am posting I am sure doesn't matter to most, but it will be good for journaling.
About a week and a half ago we finally let the butterflies go. Logan really didn't want to so we told him they had to fly away to find their families. He still asks about them everyday. My sister who bought them for him said they have a lot of different bugs you can "grow". We are thinking of maybe doing the praying mantis. We'll see. It still all creeps me out. But here are some pictures of us letting the butterflies go.
Logan holding the lid open for them to fly out. The first two had a hard time so David had to pull them out by hand.

Color of my Writing

So this is the first time I have really tried to change anything on my blog in a while and with changes blogger made I cannot figure out how to change the color of my writing anymore. Can anyone tell me how to do that now?

Butterflies

My sister Emily is a preschool teacher and each year does a butterfly activity. This year she got Logan his own butterfly kit to do at home. They came in the mail as teensy teensy caterpillars, about the size of ants. Within a week they were HUGE. I would say at least 15X bigger. Then they crawl to the top of their jar and cocoon. After they are all cocooned you take them out of the jar and stick them in the habitat. After another one came out yesterday and the rest came out today. Logan loved this project and seeing it each step of the way. Right now we are feeding them watermelon and when the weather gets a little warmer we will set them free. Thank you so much Emily. Logan loved it!

These are the caterpillars after a couple days. I should have taken a picture when we first got them.

Its hard to see, but these are the cocoons.

And here are the butterflies. The red stuff is not blood. We don't really know what it is, except that online it says its not blood its just what happens when they come out of their cocoons.

Seriously? This Kid can Fall Asleep Anywhere!

I don't know how he does it, but Logan can and does fall asleep in the weirdest places! It didn't even phase him that he had his car on top of him!

Planetarium

I know I have mentioned before how wonderful my family is, but they seriously are. My oldest sister was off track for two and a half weeks and she took Logan to do all sorts of fun things so I could have a break. They went to the aqaurium several times, played with Lincoln she took him shopping with her. On this day they went to the Clark Planetarium and Tucano's with Lincoln's mom and sisters. He had so much fun. He got to ride the "Train" for only his second time ever and LOVED it! He also got to "walk on Mars" and do all kinds of fun things at the planetarium. They saw a 3D movie and he kept grabbing at the air and saying, "I can't grab it!" I wish I had been there to see that.
After the planetarium they went to Tucano's for lunch. Logan spent 20 minutes playing with his tongs and then finally started eating and ended up knocking his bowl on the floor, breaking it. They servers came over and cleaned it up and said it was all right and who could get mad a face like that. 5 minutes later Lincoln comes back to the table with another bowl of fruit for Logan. Emily asked why he would get him another glass bowl when he had just broken it and Lincoln said, "Like the server said, who could say no to a face like that?" I couldn't agree more. His innocent face can get that kid whatever he wants.
Thank you so much Emily for being so willing to give me a break! Thanks to my whole family who always offer to take Logan. We really appreciate it!

Success

We had so much fun at our boutique on Saturday. Thank you so much to everyone who came it was a great success. We feel like our booth was the busiest and heard several other vendors talking about it. We had a great time. But since it was bad weather and they didn't have as many people come as they hoped, they scheduled us for their next boutique in August. We can't wait. We are hoping to find another venue before that, but for right now I am just enjoying not working all day everyday on making bows! Thanks again to everyone who came and supported us.
